About Jake ...

Jake Kearney literally grew up in a real estate family. One parent has been a licensed real estate broker since 1974 and the other has been in mortgage banking for the same period of time. You can imagine the dinner table talk that was absorbed over those many years.

Soon after graduation from the University of Kansas with a degree in Business Administration, Jake started investing in real estate along the gulf coast. One thing led to another, and now Jake and his family reside on Destin’s harbor.

Jake is a licensed real estate salesperson in three states and a licensed professional land surveyor in two states. He is also an instrumented rated, private pilot. Jake has served on the City of Destin's "Harbor and Waterways Board" and was appointed by the Destin City Council.

Jake has the background and experience to help you buy or sell any coastal property. His surveying background is unparalleled by other agents when it comes time for site selection, access or easement issues and property encroachments. He works closely with major developers and is privy to information regarding upcoming major developments.

Jake believes that the only way to be successful over the long term is to deal with his clients truthfully and honestly. This includes those times when the clients might not like what he has to say. He also believes that time is of the essence, from returning phone calls to contract negotiations.
